Thank you Jenn and Dignity for helping me on my journey! I figured out I am so much more than numbers on a scale! I have a belief in myself, a desire to be well, and a firm commitment to that process. If I honor that, those numbers will take care of themselves! ... I am 69 this year and it should statistically be harder to lose weight. But, that hasn’t been my experience. ... I have never felt better! ... I’m ready by 8am for whatever road I travel today! Dignity is the best name for this Center! I have a very unique situation with rare complex medical conditions and the provider I work with, Sarah, is amazing! She is a PA that researched my conditions and didn’t just remember but respected my food restrictions with her suggestions. I have been working with her for a year and a half with great success in more than just weight loss (yes, I am down 90 lbs). From Oct 2022 to august 2023 I worked with Aly at dignity weight loss center. I am a super anxious person who normally does not like doctors but she was amazing. I successfully lost over 70 pounds and lost another 20 since finishing up my program there. I’ve never been able to lose and maintain for this long and really think it’s related to changing my views on what it means to be healthy. Would recommend to anyone who feels stuck. There’s really nothing to lose since it’s only a copay per visit (at least for me it was!)

Dignity Weight Loss Program really works! During the last year, I have lost eighty lbs on my weight loss journey with DWLP. I have never succeeded with any other diet plan before this, and believe me, I’ve tried many. The key to my success is the extensive research and training my weight loss professional Danielle has undergone under the auspices of an eminent physician. The program provides one-on-one medically supervised coaching in a pleasant environment. You have the choice of in person or remote. Danielle has provided for me a individualized plan for success. She and the other staff members are kind, compassionate and quite knowledgeable. Everyone who follows the program will also receive an individualized plan. I highly recommend this program because it’s safe, effective and the weight stays off.

When I began this journey I was at a loss because I was injured, depressed, unable to exercise and using food as a coping mechanism. I joined Dignity Weight Loss in September of 2022. My friend told me she was trying it. Together, we had tried and failed every diet. We both needed to lose over 100 lbs. and both, were desperate for help. We loved the idea of it not being a traditional “diet” and delving into our health from a scientific/medical point of view. We acknowledged that we also needed support in working through this process emotionally, as well as physically. It is one of the best things I have ever done for myself. I feel like I finally made a conscious choice to take care of me. After years of taking care of my family, friends, coworkers, etc., burring the wick at both ends, I came to the conclusion that in order for me to keep on living, I needed a change. When I tell friends about my experience with Dignity, people are always eager to here the stats, OK, what is it, low carb? calorie counting? keto? It’s not really something you can wrap up in a few sentences. We are all different. As when you go to the doctor, what your doctor recommends for you, may not be the same as your friend. People mostly just want to hear the “quick fix” kind of story and don’t necessarily want to put in the emotional work, if that makes sense? Some are also intimidated by the weekly counselling portion. Honestly, that’s my favorite part. It’s accountability and direction like I’ve never had before. If something isn’t working, your counselor is there to help you figure it out. You’re not alone. You will be working on yourself and it isn’t always easy. However, you have support; someone there to teach you how to get over the hurdles. I recently hit losing 40 lbs. To put that into perspective, that’s the approximate size of a tire. I feel like a new person. My friend lost over 50 lbs. so far. We haven’t felt this good in 20 years. I am so thankful I found Dignity Weight Loss, ESPECIALLY during the holidays. I’m here to tell you, change is possible. I wish, not only overweight people, could find Dignity, but everyone could join as a preventative program so people don’t get to where I was. I’ve learned so much in these past few months. I recommend joining Dignity. There are no gimmicks, no crazy user fees, just your insurance (copay), like you’re going to any other doctor. It’s not overwhelming and they’re not judgmental. They’re kind and understanding. Joining is a transitional period; think of it as baby steps, each week, towards finding a better feeling you. I know it seems impossible, but I’m here to tell you that it is possible. I too still have got a long way to go but I’m so thankful for my PA, Lianna and the help Dignity has given me. My experience with Dignity Weight Loss exceeded my expectations. Danielle, my nutritionist was professional, kind and amazingly knowledgeable. She offered so much factual informational from menopause differences in weight loss to the benefits of using weights and exercising to the concept of insulin resistance. Perhaps the most helpful to me were “hacks” and recipes that I was able to use daily. Danielle shared articles , authors, life style ideas, replacement foods from those that lacked nutrition but I craved to those that served as a really good satiating substitue. (Example english muffin vs Ezekial bread and muffins) My favorite was the cracker hack made from lavish type wraps, much lower in carbs and the wheat variety with a tiny olive oil brush and seasoning. My whole office eats these now.
I have tried every “diet under the sun” and was frankly confused and stressed about the idea of stating all over again. I gained a whole new perspective from Danielle on staying the course with patience and consistancy while eating real food thet truly was satisfying and was working to make me feel better. I have lost 35 lbs and feel so much better and more importantly, I am in full control of my choices. I have never experienced a diet where I felt as though I woud actually keep the weight off. This was a life style shift was not nearly as hard as I was telling myself it would be. The weight is off to stay and I will lose about 10 more before Im done and move to maitenance. I feel confident in the knowledge that I have the newfound skills to do it. That is a great feeling. I’m no longer in fear of what might happen, because that is entirely up to me. I feel to good to go backwards. I do not expect perfection, but my body works better when I feel better. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Danielle over Zoom once a week- so convenient and very personal.

While searching online for a weight loss program I found Dignity Weight Center and I am so grateful that I did. I knew that life-long ingrained habits would take some time to address. I noticed that every review for all the PA’s who work with patients were equally positive so I had confidence that Dr. Haque not only set up a successful program but also gathers staff who provide the highest level of client care. My weekly online meetings were with Jenna Moscarelli who is a supportive, gracious, knowledgeable, non-judgmental professional who guided me toward my goals. After six months I have made some significant changes, learned some new skills, and developed confidence in my ability to have a more positive approach to food, exercise, and handling challenges. Jenna shares study-based recommendations for adopting a healthier life style. Each week she would gauge the best topic and short term goal often pivoting from nutrition to emotional eating to exercise depending on my responses. I have lost weight but mostly I have gained control. The Dignity Weight Center is a brilliantly designed approach that treats individuals with respect. When I first started this program I orginally thought it would be some kind of Magic weight loss pill and do it for a few weeks and then go on about my life. I learned about Dignity Weight Center from a friend and it was just what I needed. I am a 71 year old woman who has had her share of ups and down weight loss and gain from prescriptions, Weight Watcher(which was the most successful), Atkins, and many other Fad diets. Dignity offered a one on one weekly session that helped me stay focused on my weight loss goal and attitude toward weight loss and food prep. Jenna Moscarelli has become a mentor and a friend over these last 11 months. I looked forward to our sessions. Jenna’s weekly meetings helped me to keep myself accountable for food choices and activities as well as offering nutrition guides and weekly recipes. Having made a commitment to logging my daily food and activities Jenna was always able to listen and offer support when I encountered many stressful life situations over our time together. She introduced me to many foods and substitutions that I had never heard of that helped me to broaden my nutritional food awareness (which was very limited.) In less than a year I lost 20 pounds and have managed to make several food choices, exercising at the YMCA, self care and sleep routines a part of my daily life. I don’t feel like I am on ANY kind of diet but on a path to continued healthy living.

This program is great! It’s more than a simple weight-loss program, it takes your whole medical picture into account. I told Adrian (my Dignity Coach) that I have Type II Diabetes and my goal was to make a few changes that would pay off with weight loss and bring down my A1C. At my next check up, my A1C had plummeted to a 6.9, the first time it was below 7.0 since being diagnosed. The pounds were slowly melting away as well. I also learned a lot, mostly foods that I thought were healthier were not. I haven’t had cereal in a year-and-a-half, and I don’t miss it. It’s all sugar and carbs. The big take-away from Dignity was making better choices, reading ingredients (check for sugar), and intermittent fasting (last meal before 7PM). A shout-out also to Ally (my Dignity Coach after Adrian went on maternity leave). Both Adrain and Ally were awesome!

I used the services of Dignity Weight Center for just about a year. During this time, I have been followed by two very warm and professional nutritionists. My goal was to lose 10 pounds but along the way, with the help of their constant and close monitoring I found the motivation to go further and I ended up losing 20 pounds. Starting with my first visit with Dignity Weight Center, which included Dr. Omar and Physician’s Assistant Lianna D’Amore, I was positively impressed with their approach. They presented the potential benefits of working with Dignity Weight Center and answered all my questions. It was never a hard sell style, but always an encouraging, consultative approach: both in what they presented and in their answers to my questions. I signed up for weekly tele-video visits and since I’ve lost 14 pounds, reinforced some things I already knew about diet and nutrition and learned several important things I was unaware of: e.g. post meal insulin spikes and how to better manage them, as well as an introduction to the use of a free smartphone app that helped me track what & when I was eating in my meals and snacks.
My weekly Monday morning visits with PA Lianna help me start each week since last early October, reviewing my progress, tracking my goals and kicking off the week with a positive outlook. Each week we tackled a given meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and then went on to review the more technical aspects of good nutrition and diet at the ingredient and macro level. I love the fact that each meeting is also followed up with an email from Lianna including a recap of what I’d like to focus on in the upcoming week. Dignity Weight Center’s approach, Lianna’s specifically, is always consultative & never judgmental. Each weekly visit is an encouraging & educational mix of interpersonal pleasantries and factual, scientific & medical advice, information and written resources. The materials presented in our visits are always forwarded to me post-visit for my continued reference. I have found such resources as meal-planning, actual recipes, exercise and nutritional info quite valuable in my efforts to manage my weight and meals. I am very happy I came upon Dignity Weight Center, and I would highly recommend it & Lianna, to anyone seeking guidance and real help in achieving their weight management goals…all done with a great deal of Dignity!
